Curating The Classical

The word ‘curate’ comes from the Medieval Latin ‘curatus’, meaning someone who is responsible for the caring of souls. It also refers to a guardian, or someone who is managing and caring for others for their good. Classical education is the pursuit of the whole man when the students are guided to pay attention to the true, good, and beautiful for the edification and healing of their souls as we live side by side in the torrents of today. Whether a homeschool parent, an educator, or anyone who lives in community with others, attending and tarrying in the art of loving the good is an invaluable endeavor. Joshua Gibbs is a master of the classical pursuit in education today, and spending time under his teaching will remind us of the beauty found in seeking out the good truth in harmony with others.
